This is where you will find my kids' favorite recipes, tested and tweaked to be tasty, healthy, easy, and (hopefully) local. Whenever possible I try to buy produce at the farmers' market or via the Oklahoma Food Coop. I'm not too uptight about it, but if I can find the ingredient locally for a comparable price, I go for it. It always tastes better, you are supporting your neighbors, and it usually has a much better nutritional value. The three things I always buy local and/or natural are meat, eggs, and milk. I have a rather unhealthy fear of the hormones and medicines that the commercial meat industry tends to favor.
