First, let me apologize for my absence. I am still new to the blogging world, not to mention easily distratcted and incredibly sleep deprived. If I get a free minute, I'm more likely to be snarfing a turkey dog (or a glass of wine depending on the time of day) than clacking away on the computer. Anyway....I am thrilled that Spring has finally sprung! My little maniac is a tricycle riding rebel and we are making almost daily trips to the pond at the end of our street. The girl is TWO YEARS OLD and can ride that trike all the way down the street, run around the pond gathering rocks, flowers, dirt, cat-tails and the like, then ride the thing back uphill like a pro. Man, am I in trouble with this one!!! Baby brother also seems to enjoy the fresh air, giggling every time a breeze blows in his face. It really is wonderful and so simple to get out in "nature" and explore. Every day we find something different to see and talk about: a tiny snake skin, a luna moth wing, a snail shell, and so on. I don't know about you but this is way better than that football-headed Dora! So, here's my tip for the day: get out and explore a local pond, waking trail, or someplace where you can still see nature in a semi-natural form. It's a wonderful experience for all; Plus, it will keep you from hitting the fridge in desperate mommy boredom...or is that just me?
